Our Story
Something not many people are aware of is that all FDA approval studies of drugs and medical technologies are publicly available. This is meant to improve transparency between developers, regulators, and the general public. However, these studies are colorfully decorated with scientific jargon and technical details that make them incomprehensible. Trying to understand a single study can require hours, and that’s while using Google to find the definitions for 50 or so words per page.
At Unmasking Medicine, we believe this is ridiculous. How can these studies be considered transparent when they are so full of jargon?
When even most healthcare professionals don’t read FDA approval orders, it is evident that the general public finds these 20+ page long approval orders indigestible. Transparency is irrelevant if it is designed to be exclusive.
In the Unmasking Medicine Newsletter, we summarize the most important points, give you the statistics and conclusions of significance, with zero unexplained jargon.
It goes out once a week and delivers the most important updates in healthcare policy, FDA approved biotechnology, and medical science for the entire week in 5 minutes or less.
Unlike healthcare newsletters which are made exclusively for healthcare professionals, all of our writing is meant to be understood by the average reader. Additionally, to ensure equal access we are keeping the Unmasking Medicine Newsletter completely FREE, for all time.
Our name is also our mission. To unmask medicine for everyone.
